HELLO

Hi, I’m Anne, a married Gen Xer, who loves nature, travel, a good book, and a great pair of hiking boots! In the spring of 2025 my husband and I went on a Rick Steves’ tour and it turned out to be the best vacation I’ve ever had!

HOW IT STARTED

It seems every couple has a ‘planner’ in the relationship, and in our case, that’s me. I’ve organized every vacation we've been on, and I've never hired a travel agency or booked a group tour. When I began looking into Italy, I binge-watched Rick Steves’ Europe using PBS Passport.

Next, I turned to the internet. After spending hours looking up cities, hotels, transportation, museum tickets, and walking tours, I started to feel overwhelmed. That’s when I decided to treat myself and let someone else handle the planning.  Choosing a Rick Steves’ tour was the best decision I made for this trip.  The Best of Venice, Florence, & Rome in 10 Days included things I never would have picked myself, like a pasta-making class.  Even though I already knew how to make pasta, the class was so much fun!  But let me start with our first city - Venice, andiamo!
